Though still under construction in the Confluence district of Lyon, Euronews’ new headquarters will be hosting the Palais de Tokyo, for the 12th Biennial of Contemporary Art in Lyon, from September 12 to November 3 2013, with their programme “Modules” – Fondation Pierre Bergé– Yves Saint Laurent
Euronews and the Palais de Tokyo will be showing “Des presents inachevés“ (“The Unfinished Presents“) from September 10 to November 3.
The exhibition is being inaugurated today by Jean-Jack Queyranne, President of the Rhône-Alpes Region, Gérard Collomb, Senator-Mayor of Lyon and President of Greater Lyon, together with Michael Peters, CEO of Euronews and Jean de Loisy, President of the Palais de Tokyo.
Four artists have been selected by the Palais de Tokyo for their programme “Modules” – Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent to take over this unique space that is still under construction but will become the future headquarters of the international news channel.
Euronews’ new headquarters, to be completed in 2014, is located in the Docks area between the Rhône and Saône rivers, in the heart of Lyon’s new Confluence district, Europe’s largest urban regeneration project.
Designed by architects Jakob + MacFarlane, this new building is one of the most visible in the Confluence district: it is daring, modern and full of character, values which the Palais de Tokyo also shares.
