PARIS SUR MODE - March 5>8 2010

Â
For 2 sessions now, TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE has adopted a new look thanks to the WHO’S NEXT & PREMIERE CLASSE organizing team. New style, new team and new selection … TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE has become one of the leading events of the Paris fashion week.
One single meeting place: under a tent in the heart of the Jardin des Tuileries, a high-end and creative selection of 100 brands from 15 different countries is presented to the sharp eye of 2nd session buyers. Close to the international fashion accessories trade show PREMIERE CLASSE, TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE gathers the best in women’s fashion, from renowned brands to young designers. Here is a little taste of what the trade show will have in store for you, from March 5th to 8th...
SYLVIA RIELLE, FASHION INSTINC. | Booth A18
After last season’s bowl, round and proud shoulders imagined by Sylvia Rielle, the winter 2010 focuses on a tight waist and shoulders trying to reach the sky. The wings shoulder pads are a feminine must. On the constant lookout for emotions, the designer uses structured yet flowing silk veils, milanos and heavy crepes to enhance the figure. On top of this new star style, thin chains and giant zips as well as beaded embroideries will be the winter 10/11’s subtle force. The collection adopts animal touches on sleek mineral silk in shades of bronze, ruby, oatmeal, emerald and vegetables… in brocaded jacquard… A simple question of instinct!

IBEN HOEJ, ELEGANCE FROM THE NORTH | Booth B32
For 7 years, Danish designer Iben Hoej’s’s ethereal world has been keeping the crowds fascinated… Her exclusive and very personal pieces mix gauze and light jersey, while favoring adjusted cuts and meticulous finish … All this orchestrated on hand-geared machines. Iben loves making her ideas come true. This season, she focuses on the body and plays with proportions thanks to a skilful hidden/bare mix. Some pieces embrace the body while others reveal it with subtle pleats and drapes in powdered shades. Waisted cardigans; cashmere boleros, romantic dresses...

JEROME L'HUILLIER, BIRTHDAY AND TURNING POINT | Booth A15
To celebrate his brand’s 20th birthday as well as the makeover of his Palais Royal boutique, Jérôme L’Huillier is launching a new line, a capsule collection made of Midi-Minuit (Noon-Midnight) dresses under the name "138 Jardins du Palais Royal de Jérôme l’Huillier". The result: 25 amazing dresses. As usual, the designer has paid extra attention to know-how with great fabrics and cuts, geometric or ultra-feminine, as well as little details that enhance each creation. For this new fashion adventure, Jérôme L’Huillier has moved away from his printed patterns to select monochrome shades, all this for a very sophisticated and refined result.

WHEN BRAZIL BECOMES A QUALITY LABEL
This season, TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE focuses on Brazilian fashion and celebrates its constant creativity through 5 designer brands. An eccentric and ultra-trendy Carioca, ALESSA, who graduated from the London St Martins School (and is the pope’s tailor’s grand-daughter) will present a new collection filled with humor, around the theme of music.
As for GIG, the brand confirms its expertise in the field of jersey, just as DOISELLES, the XXL knitting expert and young LOLITTA who sublimates bodies in her "bondage" dresses inspired by Tahiti this season. ADRIANA DEGREAS, famous for her swimsuits, has also chosen TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE to introduce her new line of ready-to-wear. Last but not least, DANIELLA MARTINS’ new collection under the influence of Tim Burton’s fantasy world will definitely make the news...
DON’T MISS THE KNITTING HAPPY HOUR!
Get your yarn balls and needles, knitting is back and ultra hype … Created at the end of 2009 by three knitting artists who met on the web, Ema Tricopathe, Cépourtoi Factory and Soso, the COLLECTIF FRANCE TRICOT wants to get rid of stereotypes! With humor and lightness, they aim at modernizing the discipline by customizing streets with their creations: fountains, streetlights, manholes, letter boxes are dressed up in wool! Each month, the Collectif France Tricot organizes "knitting happy hours" where amateurs and experts meet to knit together...
Saturday March 6th, the knitters will be meeting at TUILERIES - PARIS SUR MODE.
5 pm – 7 pm at the trade show bar
